Day 6 - The Joy of Painless Swallowing
Today.... is Day 6 since my diagnosis last Friday, and my 4th day in the isolation facility (CCF).
Today is Wednesday 15 September 2021.
Morning temperature is 36.8 deg C. Hardly any fever. I did not take any panadol for the whole of today.
BTW Some GREAT NEWS!!
Today when I took a sip of water at 12pm....
GUESS WHAT I DISCOVERED???
I could gulp down the water without my throat feeling pain!!
Woo Hooo!!! Yayyyy!!!
I had pain swallowing every single time since last Sunday night when I arrived at the isolation facility. To drink water without pain is amazing.
The sore throat is not gone totally however, but it has improved a lot since yesterday.
Oh and the food today (in fact since yesterday) seems to have improved from my first and second days at the CCF. At least for dinner today I got two meats, not just one?

The bad news though, is that my nose is still blocked (so can't smell or taste much) and my cough is getting a little bit worse.
I never really had cough for my covid infection actually, because the cough is way too mild to be considered a cough.
-----------------------------------------
Finally, I want to say, my flu-like conditions for this COVID infection are definitely not anywhere close to the worst flu I've had.
I didn't want to post this at first, as I might jinx it... lol. But now at Day 6, I am reasonably sure this flu will not be so bad.
The flu I got last year in March when I returned to Singapore from Thailand was waaay worse, because of the violent coughing and severe headache.
COVID fever - mild, just 1 degree above normal
COVID headache - mild to none
COVID sore throat - bad, but I can still talk without pain. Only swallowing hurts.
COVID cough - virtually non existent or rare
COVID phlegm - very little (previously during my flu in March last year I coughed up phlegm with a bit of blood, which was scary).
COVID nausea - does not exist
COVID diarrhea - not really diarrhea but just watery stools for the first few days. My stool got solid today at last.
